How the Competitor Finder works

  1. You describe it. Type what the product does and who buys it, or paste a product URL and it reads the page.
  2. It finds and checks. It searches the web for products in your category and drops every site that is not live.
  3. It reads the evidence. Each price comes from a public pricing page. Each weak spot comes from a review page, with the link.
  4. It places each one on the map. Price runs left to right. Scope runs from one narrow job to the full workflow.

How to read the map

  • Left to right is the entry price per month: the lowest paid plan on the pricing page.
  • Bottom to top is scope. It is our judgment from what each product sells, not a measurement.
  • The right lane holds products with no public price. They are never given a guessed one.
  • The dashed box is the open space: every price below the cheapest competitor at your scope. When none exists, the cheap corner is taken.

A competitor analysis template you can paste

Press Copy as table and paste the result into Sheets or Notion. You get one row per competitor with its website, what it does, entry price, pricing page, threat level, weak spot and source. It is a ready competitor analysis template, filled in for your idea.

A map shows who is there. It cannot tell you whether the idea is worth building. For that, run a free validation scan in under a minute.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Competitor Finder find competitors?

It searches the web for products in your category, checks that every site is live, then reads each pricing page. A dead or parked domain never makes the map.

Where do the prices come from?

From each product’s own public pricing page. The price shown is the lowest paid monthly plan, in US dollars, and it links to that page. A product with no public price goes in the "price not public" lane instead of getting a guess.

Why are only 3 competitors named?

The 3 that overlap most with your idea open for free, each with one weak spot and a link to the review page behind it. The rest show as gray dots with their price band and scope, so you can see how crowded the market is. The free scan scores your idea against the full field.

How is scope judged?

Scope is our judgment from what each product sells. Zero is one narrow job, one is the full workflow. It places a product on the map. It is not a measured figure.

What is the open space?

The empty corner at your scope: every price below the cheapest competitor that sells at a similar scope. If someone there already charges under $10, the tool says the cheap corner is taken instead of drawing a box.
