Dropped from the list: Prezent starts at $399 per user per month, enterprise only. SlidesAI is a generic Google Slides add-on with credits metered per year. Copilot in PowerPoint and Gemini in Slides are bundled seat features, not standalone deck tools. Zapier cut both this year.
Gamma: Fastest First Draft
Gamma turns a prompt into a scrollable deck of "cards" that also export as slides. A pre-seed founder on r/Entrepreneurs had a full draft in about ten minutes from a rough outline. Zapier picked it for versatility after testing more than 40 apps: "no jarring color differences, no weird layouts."

Plus AI: Best for Native Google Slides & PowerPoint
Plus AI does not make a new file. It generates inside Google Slides and PowerPoint, so the file your investor opens is the one you built in. Zapier picked it for that integration, calling out its "step-by-step settings and guidance."
Plus AI pros:
- No export step and no formatting loss, the deck is already a native file
- Seven-day free trial with 1,000 credits
Plus AI cons:
- Credits go fast: the vendor says one task costs 40 to 170 credits, out of 1,500 on Basic

Beautiful.ai's "Smart Slides" snap bar charts, Venn diagrams and pictographs into place as you type. You write the content, the tool handles the layout. Zapier picked it for keeping stats current over time.
Beautiful.ai pros:
- Layouts auto-format, so a non-designer cannot break the deck
- A $45 one-off single deck if you only need one
- The company replies to 75% of its negative reviews
Beautiful.ai cons:
- No free plan, only a 14-day trial
- Viewer analytics only on Teams: $40 per month yearly, 3 users minimum

Slidebean is the only tool here built solely for startup fundraising. Beyond the deck builder it bundles a cap table tool (who owns what share), financial modeling and, on Accelerate, an investor CRM with human sessions. Their own claim: 30,000 startups, $250 million raised combined.

Decktopus: Budget Deck Builder
Decktopus is a budget deck builder. It generates decks and adds forms and lead capture on slides.
Decktopus pros:
- $9.99 per month on the yearly plan, with 750 credits (roughly 150 slides)

Decktopus cons:
- The free tier has no export at all. PDF, PowerPoint and PNG need Pro
- Trustpilot shows 3.7 out of 5 from 58 reviews, split 35% five star and 60% one star, mostly surprise renewals, the latest in June 2026. No replies from the company

Canva Magic Design: The Platform Everyone Already Has
Canva's Magic Design turns a prompt into a deck inside the normal Canva editor. If you already pay for Canva, there is nothing new to subscribe to. Zapier picked it as the all-in-one platform.
Canva Magic Design pros:
- No new subscription if you already have Canva Pro
- The full Canva editor around the generated deck, with PowerPoint export
Canva Magic Design cons:
- Templates are recognizable. Zapier's own con: "extra effort to make your designs look unique"

Storydoc: Best Reader Analytics, Worst Export
Storydoc builds scroll-based web decks, not slides. If your fundraise is heavily outbound, it tells you more about who read what than Pitch does. The trade-off is the export.

- Deepest reader analytics in the set: engagement alerts, a personalized version per investor, bulk sends from a live template
Storydoc cons:
- PDF only, no PowerPoint or Google Slides export

Which AI pitch deck generator should you pick?
The best AI pitch deck generator depends on how your investor will open the file and what you need beyond the slides. A pre-seed founder on r/Entrepreneurs was quoted $1,800 by a freelancer and tested three of these tools instead.
You want the fastest first draft.
Gamma. About ten minutes from an outline to a full draft. Exports to everything, including Google Slides, even on Free.
Your investor will open a PowerPoint or Google Slides file.
Plus AI. Generates inside the file directly. No export step, no formatting loss.
You want to know which slide they read.
Pitch. Per-slide viewer analytics (visits, time per slide) from the Team plan at EUR 15 per month yearly.
You also need financials, cap table and investor CRM.
Slidebean. The only tool here built solely for fundraising. $7 per month for the deck builder, $99 for the deck builder plus the financials, cap table and investor contact list.
You already pay for Canva.
Canva Magic Design. No new subscription. Exports to PowerPoint. But the templates are recognizable, and for an investor deck specifically, that works against you.
Why does every AI pitch deck generator list skip the numbers?
Every guide on page one ranks these tools on how fast they make slides. Not one of them asks where the numbers on the slides came from.
A practising VC wrote in Fast Company (19 August 2026): "I applaud entrepreneurs who use AI for things like research, to automate grunt work, polish their materials, and scale themselves. I do take issue with those who use AI to do the thinking and communicating for them." He also wrote: "A great pitch deck shows me you've researched, tested and thought deeply about every part of this opportunity, from the market to the customer to the team to the raise."
A seed-round founder on r/SaaS put it more directly after closing: "The deck design was maybe 5% of the decision."
DocSend's The Pre-Seed Round Defined report (2020) found that successful pre-seed decks were read for an average of 3 minutes and 21 seconds. The same report found that 35% of funded pre-seeds had a live product, versus 9% of the unsuccessful.
The deck gets you the meeting, not the cheque. The market number, the competitor set and the buyer count on slides 4 and 6 have to hold up in three minutes. No generator on this list checks any of them.
